Trade Agreement
Last updated: 19 July 2026
This Trade Program Agreement ("Agreement") governs participation in the Shutter + Frame Trade Program ("Program"). By applying for a trade account, checking the "I agree to Trade Terms" box, or placing an order at trade pricing, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.
1. Eligibility & Approval
The Program is intended for trade professionals purchasing for business use — including interior designers, stylists, hospitality groups, offices and commercial buyers, and vacation-rental or Airbnb operators. Applications are reviewed individually, and Shutter + Frame may approve, decline, or later revoke an account at its discretion. Trade accounts are for business and professional use, not personal retail purchases. You confirm that the information in your application is accurate and that you are authorized to enter into this Agreement for your business.
2. Trade Pricing & Discounts
Once your account is approved, your trade discount will be communicated to you and applied to qualifying orders. Trade pricing is provided in exchange for your participation in the Program and may be adjusted or discontinued over time. Unless stated otherwise, trade pricing cannot be combined with other promotions, sale events, or discount codes.Â
3. Your Trade Account & Discount Code
Any account access or discount code issued to you is assigned to your business, is non-transferable, and may not be shared, published, or used by anyone outside your business. Misuse — including sharing a code, using the account for non-trade purchases, or misrepresenting the discount — may result in cancellation of orders and removal from the Program.
4. Orders, Custom Work & Production
Prints are hand framed to order in the USA. Custom sizes and frame finishes are available on request, and production timing will be confirmed on each order. Because items are produced to order, please confirm sizing, framing, and quantities before your order is placed into production.
5. Tax-Exempt Purchases
If your business is tax-exempt, you must provide a valid resale or exemption certificate before tax-exempt invoicing can be applied. You are responsible for the accuracy and validity of the documentation you provide and for any taxes, duties, or fees that apply to your orders where an exemption is not on file.
6. Payment
Orders are payable at the time they are placed unless separate terms have been agreed in writing. All prices and payments are in USD unless stated otherwise.
7. Shipping & Delivery
We ship directly to your specified project or business address, packed and protected for transit. Please inspect all deliveries on arrival and report any transit damage promptly (see Section 8). Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary with production and carrier schedules.
8. Damage-Free Guarantee
Every order is backed by our damage-free guarantee. If a piece arrives damaged, or if a print or frame fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you. To make a claim, contact us at support@shutterandframe.com with your order details and photos of the issue. For transit damage, please notify us within 30 days of delivery. This guarantee covers defects in the print and framing and does not cover damage caused by improper installation, accidents, alteration, or normal environmental conditions. Repair or replacement is our sole obligation under this guarantee.
9. Returns & Cancellations
Because prints are hand framed to order and often custom-sized, orders generally cannot be returned or cancelled once production has begun, except as covered by the damage-free guarantee in Section 8. If you believe there is an error with your order, contact us promptly and we will work with you to make it right.
10. Artwork, Copyright & Permitted Use
All photography and imagery remain the exclusive property of Shutter + Frame or its licensing photographer. Purchasing a print grants you the right to display that physical piece. It does not transfer copyright and does not grant any right to reproduce, scan, copy, print, or otherwise reuse the images. You may photograph completed installations that include our prints for your own portfolio, with credit to Shutter + Frame. Any other commercial use of our images — including marketing, stock, or resale of the imagery itself — requires our prior written permission.
11. Reselling & Client Projects
You may specify, purchase, and install Shutter + Frame prints as part of your client projects and design services, and you may bill your clients as part of that service. You may not resell our prints as standalone retail merchandise, list them on third-party marketplaces, or represent the photography as your own work.
12. Changes to the Program
We may update this Agreement or modify or discontinue the Program at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and your continued participation after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under it will be handled in the courts located in California.
